We received a prayer request from a dear sister from Johannesburg, South Africa. She was experiencing sleep terrors, movements throughout her body, seeing demonic beings enter her, and feeling like she's suffocating in the night. She recently gave her life to the Lord after experimenting in new age practices, she had all the books on meditations to try to get some relief from pains and emptiness. Those demons didn't like that she quit new age practices, she threw away all the books and trinkets. She was being attacked every single night without rest ever since. She felt God pulling her closer, she wanted to try Jesus for-real.
She searched on youtube for deliverance testimonies out of desperation and ran across one that I shared concerning another lady being set free. So she requested prayer as she believed God could do the same for her. I didn't know it at the time, but South Africa is currently going through load shedding. I was told that the main power station in the country gets shut off for 2 to 4 hours at a time. This has been occurring several times throughout the day. That makes working difficult, that makes taking care of home a challenge. This dear sister did not have power during our prayer. She used the battery charge from her phone and called into the zoom session while in her car. She used the dome light in her car as much as possible as she shared her experiences and asked questions about Jesus and deliverance. It did not matter to her, in-spite of everything going on around her she just wanted to be free. I feel strongly that a desperation, a getting fed up with the devil is needed for total deliverance.
After a brief discussion I walked her through prayers of repentance, renouncing the doors she opened, and even some generational witchcraft that she knew she was suffering from. As we stood in faith together, we told those demons to go in Jesus name. They started to manifest, they were angry and didn't want to leave. But we stood on the WORD OF GOD and COMMANDED it to go and never return. She felt it go and the pain with it. Now she is free through Jesus. Hallelujah! All praises to our all power God! He never leaves one behind, He loves all of us so much. All we have to do is ask.
This was her response the next morning, she sent a testimony via email.
"Good morning Elisha! Glory be to the Lord Almighty . For the first time in a long time I slept and had no dreams of weird things or strange man figures or strange people just watching me in the background!
God is so good. Thank you so much. Thank you for your faith in Jesus, it really helped increase my faith as well. I continue to be prayerful. Thank you for your prayers last night. I got home and worshipped I felt brand new. Cleansed white as snow! Thank you Jesus! "
